Silcott Fork Lake is a 23-acre impoundment located in southern Roane County. This lake is located approximately 2 mile north of Walton, and is accessible from U.S. Route 119 via a short gravel road. This lake was built in 1980 with a maximum depth of 30 feet and an average depth of 14 feet. Walton Public Service District controls the lake, and an annual user fee is required. A trail over the emergency spillway provides access to bank fishing. Boats and the use of live minnows as bait are prohibited.
  Silcott Fork Lake provides warmwater fishing for largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, and tiger musky. Bass fishing reaches its peak during spring and fall and some of the best fishing area is found in the upper portion of the lake. During other periods, most of the larger bass are taken by casting deep-running lures near the dam area. Bluegill fishing with crickets and worms is best during the spawning season, which runs through early summer.
